17 injured in Makwanpur bus accident

Makwanpur, November 22 — 17 people have been injured in a bus accident in Hetauda. One of the injured is in critical condition.
The bus (registration number Ga 2 Kha 1621), which was traveling from Birgunj to Pokhara, lost its brakes on Friday at a location called Ratopate near the Churiyamai Temple, on the East-West Highway.
The accident resulted in 17 injuries, including the driver, out of the 18 people on board.
According to the Makwanpur Police, 9-year-old Jonisha Kumari Thakur, from Prasauni Rural Municipality Ward No. 3 in Bara, is in critical condition with a head injury.
The injured are receiving treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
