Thick fog and mist likely in Terai, weather advisory issued

Kathmandu, November 15 — The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has informed that western winds and local winds are currently having a moderate impact across the country. As a result, there is partial cloud cover in the hilly regions of Gandaki and Koshi provinces, while the rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear skies.

Thick fog and mist are observed in some parts of the Terai region.

This afternoon, partial cloud cover is expected in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will see mostly clear weather with some clouds in places.

Tonight, similar weather conditions are expected, with partial cloud cover in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and clear skies in the remaining areas.

The Meteorological Department has also warned of the possibility of thick fog and mist in the Terai regions during the early morning and night. This may have a partial impact on agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road transport, and air travel, and the public is advised to take necessary precautions.
