Six fugitives apprehended in Rautahat

Rautahat, October 17 — Six fugitives have been apprehended in Rautahat. These individuals, who had been evading arrest for an extended period following a court verdict that imposed prison sentences and fines, were arrested by the Rautahat police.

The apprehended individuals include Nazir Ansari, Siddhanta Paswan, Ramsagar Giri, Pawan Kumar Raut Kurmi, Akhilesh Kumar Yadav, and Rajesh Kumar Yadav. They were taken into custody while returning home for the Dashain festival, as informed by District Police Office spokesperson Deepak Kumar Rai.

Ansari faces charges of homicide, Paswan is implicated in theft, Giri in child marriage, while Kurmi and Yadav are also charged with theft-related fines and imprisonment, as stated by DSP Rai. Rajesh Kumar Yadav has been fined 50,000 for drug-related offenses.

According to the District Police Office in Rautahat, all apprehended individuals have been presented at the District Court in Gaur for the enforcement of their sentences.
