Jhyaple Khola blockage removed, two-way vehicle operation resumes

Kathmandu, October 1 — The blockage in the Jhyaple Khola in Dhunibeshi Municipality-9 of Dhading, located along the Prithvi Highway, has been cleared. Two-way vehicle operation has resumed on the Jhyaple Khola after the landslide was removed.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Naresh Subedi of the Bagmati Province Traffic Police Office informed Ratopati that two-way traffic has been restored after clearing the landslide from the Jhayple Khola.

Motorcycles were prohibited from operating between Jhyaple Khola and Nagdhunga from 11 AM to 1 PM while the landslide was being cleared.

The landslide in the Jhyaple Khola had resulted in the deaths of 35 individuals traveling in three vehicles. Among the deceased were 25 men, 9 women, and 1 girl. Inspector Prahlad Silwal from the Dhading District Police Office informed that 13 of the victims have been identified.
