Missing bus feared buried in landslide at Jhyaple Khola

Pokhara, September 29 — A bus traveling from Lapubesi, Gorkha, to Kathmandu is feared to have been swept away in the Jhyaple Khola river in Dhading. The bus, numbered Na 4 Kha 2270, went missing after departing from Lapubesi on Friday morning.

Some parts of the bus have been spotted, and excavation work has begun with the help of an excavator. However, the bus number has not yet been identified. Reports indicate that the bus roof has been found during the excavation of the landslide.

The bus was reported missing after relatives of passengers requested assistance in searching for it. Concerns have arisen that the bus may have been caught in a landslide, as both the driver and co-driver are also out of contact.

The bus owner and driver, Madan Pariyar from Arughath-4, along with co-driver Navaraj Tiwari from Fujel and passenger Suk Gurung from Dharche, were on board. The identification of any other passengers remains unclear.
