60 dead in floods and landslides across Nepal
Kathmandu, September 28 — Due to incessant rainfall and subsequent floods and landslides, 60 people have died across the country. Additionally, 64 individuals are reported missing. The Armed Police Force have confirmed these fatalities in various locations affected by the floods and landslides.
According to Assistant Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa of the Armed Police Force, the death toll includes five in Panchthar, two in Dhankuta, 11 in Kathmandu, five in Bhaktapur, 18 in Lalitpur, 14 in Kavre, one in Dhading, two in Sindhupalchowk, and two in Dolakha. Furthermore, 34 people have been injured in these incidents.
The Armed Police released this information about the death toll and missing persons since 4 PM on Friday. During the same period, 2,103 individuals have been successfully rescued.
