Six students go missing from ANFA Academy in Sisneri

Hetauda, September 28 — Six students have gone missing from the academy operated by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in Sisneri, Makwanpur. The six students escaped on Friday by misleading the security personnel at the ANFA academy.

According to the Area Police Office in Bhimfedi, the students fled out of fear of being swept away by the opening of the Kulekhani dam, as they received information about the heavy rains since Thursday.

Among the 37 players residing at the local Batsala Secondary School, which provides hostel and residential arrangements for daily training, six have gone missing.

Police Inspector Lalita Dhakal stated that the players fled to avoid the flooding from Kulekhani by deceiving the security personnel.

Police have been mobilized for their search efforts.

According to ANFA central committee member Tikaram Lama, the missing students are Anup Ghalaan from Makawanpur, Aditya Bhalam from Sarlahi, Riyans Acharya from Kathmandu, Suman Yonjan from Makawanpur, Bikal Regmi from Nijgadh, and Diwas Baniya from Makawanpur.

ANFA had started the academy in Sisneri for the first time last year.
