Landslide blocks Gorkha-Aanbukhaireni road

Gorkha, September 28 — The Gorkha-Aanbukhaireni road section has been blocked due to a landslide. The landslide occurred at Saatkilo in Gorkha Municipality-12, obstructing the road, according to Assistant Sub Inspector Basanta Paudel from the District Traffic Police Office, Gorkha.
“The landslide has blocked the road in both directions,” he stated. “Excavators and bulldozers from the Road Department in Tanahun have started clearing the landslide.”
Although it is not possible to open the road in both directions immediately, efforts are being made to clear it for one direction, informed Gorkha Municipality Mayor Krishna Bahadur Ranamagar.
Following the landslide, all vehicles entering and leaving Gorkha via Aanbukhaireni have been stranded.
