Chhabilal Joshi presented before Kaski District Court

Kathmandu, September 23 — Former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, who was arrested based on the report of the parliamentary inquiry committee on cooperative fraud, has been presented before the Kaski District Court.

Following his arrest in Kathmandu, Joshi was taken to Pokhara for a court appearance today for a remand extension.

He is one of the former directors of Gorkha Media. The inquiry committee identified Joshi along with three others for action.

Following his arrest, RSP president and former home minister Rabi Lamichhane has been opposing the government's preparations, expressing concern that he too might be arrested.
