NEPSE declines: Index drops 4 points to 2,576.76
Kathmandu, September 18 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a decline on Wednesday. According to NEPSE, the index dropped by 4 points, settling at 2,576.76.
Previously, on Monday, NEPSE also fell by 57 points. After a public holiday in the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday, the market opened lower, leading to reduced trading activity. On Wednesday, NEPSE reported a trading volume of only around 5.66 billion.
On this day, the highest trading activity was seen in shares of CEDB Hydropower, with 197 companies reporting losses.
According to NEPSE, by the end of trading, shares outside the banking and non-life insurance sectors had also decreased.
