Nepal-U.S. military exercise starts today

Kathmandu, September 15 — The fourth edition of the military exercise between the Nepal Army and American Army has commenced today.

During the exercise, there will be an exchange of knowledge regarding methods and procedures to enhance search and rescue operations, according to the Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepal Army. The joint exercise will take place in Kathmandu, Makwanpur, and Dhading.

Since 2012, the exercise has been conducted to improve disaster response capabilities through the exchange of experiences in disaster management and humanitarian assistance. The exercise will conclude on September 20.
