Stock market falls again; NEPSE drops 13 points

Kathmandu, September 10 — The stock market index (NEPSE) has been consistently declining in recent days. Today (Tuesday), NEPSE fell by 13 points.

The market dropped by 55 points on Monday, and on Sunday, it fell by 25 points.

In just three days this week, the index has decreased by 69 points. The market, which was at 2701 points on Sunday, fell to 2632 points by Tuesday.

The transaction amount also decreased on Tuesday. Previously, the daily turnover was around 10 billion rupees. On Tuesday, shares worth 7.245 billion rupees were traded. A total of 19.077 million shares of 328 companies were bought and sold.

On Tuesday, the business subgroup index increased by 0.79 percent, while all other subgroups saw declines.

The prices of shares for 170 companies decreased on Tuesday. Prices for 8 companies remained stable, and 67 companies saw price increases.

Manushi Micro Financial Institution experienced a positive circuit in its share price on Tuesday. In terms of transaction amount, Hydroelectricity Development Company led the market, with shares worth 298.1 million rupees bought and sold. The share price of Hydroelectricity Development Company remained at 177 rupees per share at the close of trading.
