NEPSE index drops by 55 points on Monday
Kathmandu, September 9 — The stock market index NEPSE had a significant drop on Monday. The market index fell by 55 points to 2,646 points, and the sensitive index decreased by 2 percent.
The transaction amount also declined. NEPSE's turnover, which was 9.72 billion rupees on Sunday, dropped to 9.37 billion rupees today.
Among the listed companies, only 14 saw an increase in their stock value, while the prices of 227 companies fell, and 3 companies' prices remained unchanged.
Hathaway Investment Company’s value rose by 9 percent, whereas Unnati Microfinance experienced the largest decline, with a decrease of 8 percent.
In terms of turnover, CEDB Hydropower led the market with shares worth 37.5 million rupees being traded. Today, all subgroups of NEPSE showed a decline.
