NEPSE index drops by 25 points on Sunday

Kathmandu, September 8 —The stock market index fell by 25 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. Trading began at 2732 points, peaked at 2770 points, and ended at 2701.90 points.

The share prices of 157 companies declined today, while 85 companies saw their prices increase, and three companies' prices remained unchanged.

22.2 million shares of 328 companies were traded on Sunday, generating a turnover of 10.12 billion rupees. There was a positive trend in the prices of Mahuli Microfinance, Shrijansheel Microfinance, and Mid Solu Hydropower.

CEDB Hydropower Company had the highest turnover today, with shares worth Rs 42.19 crore traded.

The microfinance sub-group index increased by 1.21 percent, the production sub-group index rose by 0.50 percent, and the collective investment fund sub-group index went up by 0.22 percent. All other sub-group indices experienced declines.
