8 students injured in Achham jeep accident
Surkhet, September 4 — A jeep carrying members of the student organization All Nepal National Federation of Students’ Union-Revolutionary (ANNFSU-R), associated with the CPN (Maoist Centre), met with an accident in Achham.
The accident occurred at Matena in Sanfebagar on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., according to Achham police.
The accident resulted in injuries to eight students. Police Inspector Jay Parki informed Ratopati that the injured students were transported to Bayalpata Hospital for treatment.
The jeep (Sudurpaschim Province 01001 Ja 1238) was en route from Sanfe to the headquarters in Mangalsen when it lost control and plunged into a canal.
Inspector Parki also stated that the jeep's driver, Lakshman Saund of Nawadurga Rural Municipality in Dadeldhura, is currently in police custody.
