Kathmanduites get stuck in traffic snarls (with photos)

Kathmandu, September 1 — The traffic situation in key areas of Kathmandu, including Sundhara, Ratnapark, Bhadrakali, and Putlisadak, has become chaotic.

The congestion has been exacerbated by a protest march calling for justice for the victims of a cooperative scam and Nirmala Kurmi, compounded by rainy weather.

As hundreds of protesters gathered in Ratnapark, demanding a blockade of Singhadarbar, traffic in the area was redirected, leading to increased traffic jams in surrounding areas.
