Stock market sees heavy drop as NEPSE falls to 2,695.63

Kathmandu, September 1 –The stock market index NEPSE experienced a significant decline on the first trading day of the week. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index fell by 53.63 points, closing at 2,695.63 points on Sunday.

The day's trading volume was limited, with transactions totaling approximately NPR 10 billion.

Despite this downturn, there was a positive performance in the shares of Supermai Hydropower, and the prices of 82 companies increased.

However, 241 companies saw a decline in their share prices, with investors in People's Hydropower Company facing the largest losses.

According to NEPSE, all sub-indices, except for mutual funds, saw a decrease today.
