NEPSE index rises 3.80 points on Wednesday
Kathmandu, August 28 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased on Wednesday, rising by 3.80 points to reach 2,786.40.
35 million shares were traded today, generating a turnover of approximately 13.72 billion.
Despite significant fluctuations throughout the day, the market closed higher due to a last-minute surge.
The NEPSE index had dropped by 111.96 points on Tuesday.
The NEPSE reported gains in several sectors on Wednesday, including banking, hotels and tourism, hydropower, investment, manufacturing, mutual funds, and others.
Additionally, NEPSE noted that three companies experienced a positive circuit in their shares, while investors in Karnali Development Bank faced the greatest losses. The shares of Chandragiri Hills were the most actively traded on this day.
