Siddhartha Highway disrupted after landslide

Butwal, August 24 - The Butwal-Palpa road section of the Siddhartha Highway has been blocked.

According to the police, the blockage occurred due to a dry landslide on Kuhire Hill, between Head Box and Siddhababa Temple in Tinau Rural Municipality-3 of Palpa.

As a result of the landslide, vehicles traveling from Butwal to Palpa, Gulmi, Syangja, and Baglung, as well as those returning to Butwal, have been stopped, according to the Dobhan police station.

The police estimate that it will take several hours to clear the landslide and reopen the road.

 This area has frequently experienced landslides.
