Landslide claims three lives in Jajarkot

Surkhet, August 19 - A landslide in Majhgaon of Nalgad Municipality-2, Jajarkot, resulted in the deaths of three family members this morning. The victims were 42-year-old Lal Bahadur Pariyar, 34-year-old Manisa Pariyar, and their two-year-old son, Shivam Pariyar.

Dambar Rawat, Mayor of Nalgad Municipality, informed that the family was residing in a temporary shelter provided for earthquake victims.

Mayor Rawat added that a police team led by Inspector Madhav Prasad Chaudhary from the Area Police Office in Dalli responded to the incident.

The site of the landslide is located near Dalli, the administrative center of Nalgad Municipality.
