Four dead, six injured in Bajhang landslide

Kathmandu, August 19 - Four members of the same family have died following a landslide in Bajhang.

DIG Rabindra KC informed that the landslide struck the home of Bir Bahadur Dhami in Tumeda, Bungal Municipality-10, around 1 a.m. on Sunday night. Out of the ten people who were asleep in the house, six managed to escape with minor injuries.

The victims, Kali Dhami, Golki Dhami, Aakriti Dhami, and Lakshmi Dhami, were found buried under the debris.

Following the incident, a response team led by Senior SI Bir Bahadur Thagunna from the nearest police unit quickly arrived at the scene. On Monday morning, Assistant CDO, DSP Fanindra Bhandari, and a team from the Red Cross also arrived to assist.
