Radhika Shakya launches People’s Library in Baluwatar

Kathmandu, August 16: Radhika Shakya, the wife of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has established the People’s Library in Baluwatar.
Prime Minister Oli announced that the idea to transform an empty room into a public library was proposed by his wife and encouraged everyone to support the initiative.
The library features 60 shelves capable of holding between 1,200 and 2,000 books.
It will include spaces for books signed by authors and readers.
Oli has invited people to donate their books, whether authored or favorite reads, to the library.
Shakya will dedicate an hour each day, six days a week, to manage the library.
