Arun river swells after overnight rain; caution advised

Sankhuwasabha, August 14:  The local administration has urged residents along the lower banks of the Arun River to be cautious following an increase in the river's water level due to overnight rainfall.

Additionally, residents are advised to notify the local administration or the nearest police station if they observe further rises in the river's water level.

Meanwhile, continuous rain has caused the dam of the Arun 3rd Hydropower Project, currently under construction in Faksinda, Makalu Rural Municipality, to overflow, as informed by the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha.
