Seven injured in Palpa road accident

Butwal, August 12: Seven people were injured when a micro bus (Hiace) met with an accident in Jordhara, Tinau Rural Municipality-5 Of Palpa on the Siddharth Highway.

According to the District Police Office Palpa, a vehicle with registration number Ga 2 kha 1225, which was en route from Butwal to Pokhara, lost control and crashed into a roadside wall. The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Lumbini Medical College in Tansen.

 The victims include Lakshmi Karki of Tansen Municipality-10, Rajesh Gupta, Ramu Sahani, Meraj Manjuri and Dipendra Kumar Kuswaha of Sarabal Rural Municipality-7 in Nawalparasi.

Similarly, Tarapati Regmi of Syangja Bhirkot Municipality-9, and Ramesh KC of Pokhara Metropolitan City-22 in Kaski are also among the injured.

 The driver, Shekhar Koirala of Waling Municipality-6 in Syangja, has been detained, and an investigation is ongoing, as confirmed by Police Inspector Sandeep Belbase from the District Police Office, Palpa.
