Supporters of Kulman Ghising face off with police in Maitighar

Kathmandu, August 10: A minor scuffle ensued on Saturday between youths rallying in support of Kulman Ghising, the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, and the Nepal Police in Maitighar.

The protest, which began at Maitighar, progressed to the Art Council before returning to Maitighar and blocking the road. The police attempted to disperse the crowd, leading to the confrontation.

Following the clash, police arrested several individuals, including Bablu Gupta, Som Sharma, Shiva Sayad, Hemraj Thapa, Madan Budha, and Bijay Kandel.
