Justice for Nirmala Kurmi: Protest reaches fifth phase (Photos)

Kathmandu, August 9: A protest has started at Maitighar led by Rubi Khan, alleging that the Nepali Congress party is protecting Badsah Kurmi, the main suspect in Nirmala Kurmi's murder, by appointing him as a minister in Lumbini province.

The group led by Ms Khan, advocating justice for Nirmala Kurmi, began its protest march from Kalanki to Maitighar

The protest has now entered the fifth phase.

They are expressing frustration over the government's repeated delays in bringing the case to court.

The protesters have outlined several demands: the immediate removal of Badsah Kurmi from his ministerial position, the swift court proceedings for Nirmala Kurmi's murder case, and assurance of security for the demonstrators.
