Kulman Ghising to address tariff controversies in press conference

Kathmandu, August 8: Kulman Ghising, the Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), is set to hold a press conference on Friday. This event will mark the completion of his three-year tenure.

Scheduled for 1:30 p.m., the press conference will address various topics, including the controversy surrounding dedicated and trunk line tariffs, as well as other pressing issues.

Additionally, in response to a request from the Public Accounts Committee, NEA submitted a comprehensive report on Thursday. This report, spanning approximately 50,000 pages, includes TOD meter data for industries utilizing dedicated and trunk lines. The submission was made to provide proof of electricity usage, as requested by the Accounts Committee.
