Heavy rain causes flight delays from Kathmandu
Kathmandu, Aug 6: Domestic flights have been disrupted on Tuesday due to persistent rain. Tribhuwan International Airport reports that around a dozen domestic flights have been affected by 11 am.
The airport has clarified that there are no issues with flight arrivals. However, several departures have experienced delays, including flights on the Bharatpur, Pokhara, Simra, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, and Biratnagar routes from Kathmandu. Specifically, Buddha Air's 8 am flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur has been delayed due to the weather.
Similarly, Yeti Airlines' 8 am flight from Kathmandu to Simra has yet to take off. Additionally, Yeti Airlines' 9 am flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara has also been delayed.
Buddha Air flights from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Biratnagar, Simra, and Bhadrapur are experiencing delays.
Yeti Airlines flights from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and Shree Airlines flights from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa have also been affected by the adverse weather conditions. Passengers for these flights have been boarded, but the flights have not yet departed due to the weather.
