Karnali highway obstructed, thousands of passengers stranded

Surkhet: Landslides have blocked the Karnali Highway. Continuous rainfall since Sunday has caused a landslide near Asaraghat, Athabis Municipality-1 in Dailekh District, obstructing the highway.

According to the Karnali Province Police Office, the road has been entirely closed due to the landslide from above. The police have reported that efforts are underway to clear the blockage.

As a result of the road being closed, vehicles traveling between Surkhet and Upper Karnali are currently stranded.
