Cocaine worth 150 million seized from Kathmandu, 4 foreigners arrested
Kathmandu: The Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested 4 foreign nationals with 4.5 kg of cocaine.
Those arrested are 68-year-old Donald Jackson Mabuga from Tanzania, 33-year-old Laura Cruz Tikona from Bolivia, 39-year-old Simon Antonio Alfonzo Rada from Venezuela and 27-year-old Indian national Lalru Utsangi.
SSP Dinesh Acharya of the Narcotics Control Bureau informed that 4 kg 504 grams of cocaine was seized from the accused persons. The market value of that cocaine is around 150.76 million.
68-year-old Donald came to Kathmandu after swallowing 18 plastic coated capsules from Adish Ababa, Ethiopia. Police recovered 1 kg 206 gram capsule from his stomach. Donald is currently being treated at the police hospital.
Bolivian Laure Cruz brought 2 kilos and 100 grams of cocaine hidden in the buttons of 121 clothes. Simeon from Venezuela also came to Kathmandu from Brazil after swallowing capsules of cocaine. 1 kg 198 grams was recovered from him.
The Indian girl Lalru was arrested when she came to buy cocaine.
