Dumre-Besisahar route obstructed

Lamjung: A section of the Dumre-Besisahar route has become obstructed due to incessant rainfall since last night. According to Thaneshwar Chapai, the Information Officer of Lamjung District Police Office, the vehicular movements have been halted since this morning due to a landslide at Dalal in Besisahar Municipality-1. Chapai mentioned that despite efforts by the police to clear the road, the continuous rain has made it difficult to clear the debris. Vehicles have queued up and people are stranded.

The road blockage is affecting travelers heading from Besisahar to destinations such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan, as well as those traveling to the Himalayan district of Manang. Ambulances are also unable to transport patients. The distance between Dumre and Besisahar is 42 kilometers. This is the first instance this year that this road has been blocked.
