No Nepali nationals killed in Mexico-Guatemala border, Embassy confirms

Kathmandu, October 5 — It has been revealed that 11 Nepali nationals were in the vehicle that came under fire from Mexican security forces during the incident on October 2.

Three individuals sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment as per the inquiries made by the Nepali Embassy in USA with Mexican government agencies. 

The Embassy confirmed that no Nepali nationals lost their lives, despite recent media reports suggesting otherwise.

The incident has raised significant concerns among the Nepali community and authorities.

Currently, all 11 individuals remain in the custody of Mexican immigration authorities.

The Embassy is maintaining close communication with relevant officials in Mexico and has pledged to provide updates as more information becomes available.
