Man set himself on fire in Chabahil, 5 injured

Kathmandu: 5 people were injured in an incident where a man set himself on fire after sprinkling petrol in Saraswati Nagar, Chabahil, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7.

On Wednesday, 55-year-old Chanchal Bahadur Singh set his body on fire, and 5 people from his family were injured along with him. Among the injured are Singh's 3 daughters and his wife. DSP Keshav Thebe of Gaushala Police Circle told Ratopati that the injured have been sent to Kirtipur Hospital for treatment.

The initial police investigation concluded that inebriated Singh set the house on fire due to domestic quarrel. Among his three daughters, two were seriously injured as their bodies were severely burnt. According to reports, they are 16 and 24, respectively, in age.
