Rain expected in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions today

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division, under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, has forecasted the likelihood of rain in several regions of Nepal today.

Partially influenced by westerly winds and local atmospheric conditions, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in hilly areas, particularly in the Koshi province, and fair in other parts of the country.

The Division predicts partly cloudy conditions in the hilly regions and fair weather elsewhere this afternoon.

Light rain accompanied by lightning is anticipated in a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with the possibility of light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous areas.

For tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in hilly regions, including Koshi Province, with fair conditions in other areas.

Light rain accompanied by lightning may occur in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with light snowfall possible in select high hilly and mountainous areas of these provinces.

A weather bulletin released by the Division this morning also mentions the possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

The anticipated weather changes may have partial impacts on daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transport in the region.

Therefore, the Division advises adopting necessary precautionary measures to cope with these conditions.
