EC releases final voters' list for upcoming by-election

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has unveiled the definitive voters' list for the upcoming by-election scheduled for April 27.

The by-election is slated to take place in Ilam and Bajhang districts.

According to the latest update from the Commission, there will be a total of 1,80,88,983 eligible voters.

Among them, 88,86,983 are female, 92,02,569 are male, and there are 188 registered as 'others'.

Commission Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel revealed that Morang district boasts the highest number of voters with 739,390, while Manang has the lowest count with 6,849 voters.

Furthermore, the spokesperson shared that there have been 87,417 new voter registrations since the last by-election held on April 23 last year.
