Parliamentary hearing for proposed Auditor General Toyam Raya commences

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing process for the proposed Auditor General, Toyam Raya, has commenced today.

Padma Prasad Pandey, the Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament, announced that during today's meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, it was decided to issue a notice to the general public, inviting them to submit any complaints related to Raya within the next 10 days.

The Constitutional Council convened on Sunday and decided to recommend Raya, currently serving as the Chief Statistics Officer of the National Statistics Office, for the appointment to the post of Auditor General.
