Continued rainfall expected across Nepal as cloudy weather persists

KATHMANDU: Persistent rainfall has been observed in Bagmati, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces, attributed to the influence of the Westerly wind. The Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, forecasts that cloudy weather accompanied by rainfall is likely to persist across the country for the coming days.

Govinda Kumar Jha, a meteorologist at the Department, explained that the current weather pattern in Nepal is being shaped by the convergence of the Westerly wind, local winds, and moisture-laden winds originating from the Arabian Sea.

"At present, the weather is characterized by partly to generally cloudy conditions throughout the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. This weather pattern is expected to persist for several days," he added.
