Over 500,000 students sit for SEE examination across Nepal and Beyond
KATHMANDU: The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) commenced on Thursday, as announced by Dr. Mahaashram Sharma, Chairperson of the National Examination Board.
A vast distribution of over 500,000 question papers and answer sheets has been dispatched to all 77 districts.
Nandalal Poudel, the SEE Exam Controller at the Board, revealed that a total of 504,414 students from 10,806 schools are participating in the examination, which will continue until April 9.
Of the candidates, 250,772 are female, 253,627 are male, and 15 identify as sexual and gender minorities.
The exam will be conducted across 2,064 centers, with Kathmandu hosting the highest number of centers at 127, while Manang and Mustang districts each have one center, marking the lowest count.
Remarkably, an exam center has been established in Japan, anticipating 23 students to undertake the examination, according to Exam Controller Poudel.
The Board has mobilized 77,485 human resources to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
