Two killed in Dholahiti clash; 18 arrested for investigation
KATHMANDU: Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a confrontation in Lalitpur metropolitan city-26, Dholahiti, last night.
The incident occurred around 9:00 pm, resulting in the deaths of two young men amidst a clash between two groups.
Naresh Raj Subedi, the spokesperson for the District Police Range, Lalitpur, and Superintendent of Police, confirmed the unfortunate event.
"The police received notification of the altercation after the injured parties were admitted to Patan Hospital at 11:00 pm.
Several individuals apprehended at the scene are currently undergoing interrogation. The motive behind the incident remains under investigation," stated SP Subedi.
The deceased have been identified as Robas Rai, aged 28, originally from Dharan but currently residing in Dholahiti, and Pujan Rai, aged 30, hailing from Panchthar district with residence in Khumaltar.
Their bodies have been transferred to Patan and Sumeru hospitals, according to the spokesperson.
Law enforcement took swift action, apprehending 18 individuals suspected of involvement in the altercation on the night of the incident.
