Prime Minister Dahal extols Holi Festival as beacon of development and prosperity
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has conveyed his heartfelt wishes to all Nepalis on the auspicious occasion of Holi, expressing confidence that the festival will ignite a spirit of renewed vigor and determination towards achieving the nation's developmental aspirations.
In his message, Prime Minister Dahal underscored the profound significance of the Fagu Purnima (Holi) festival, emphasizing its power to galvanize individuals across all strata of society towards the collective pursuit of good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity.
"The celebration of Holi transcends barriers of class, caste, language, geography, and culture, encapsulating the sentiments and inter-identity of all Nepalis," remarked the Prime Minister, highlighting the inclusive nature of the festival.
Extending his warmest wishes to Nepalis both within the country and abroad, Prime Minister Dahal acknowledged the vibrant festivities marking the occasion, which commence in the mountainous and hilly regions on the first day and continue in the Tarai-Madhes on the subsequent day.
He further lauded the symbolic significance of Holi, depicting the triumph of truth over falsehood and the victory of good over evil, as a source of inspiration for leading colorful and joyful lives.
