Extended rainfall expected across multiple Provinces in Nepal
KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecasted continued rainfall for the next three days in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces of Nepal.
Current weather patterns indicate the influence of a westerly low-pressure system, alongside a low-pressure system located in Assam, India, and its surrounding areas, exerting their impact on Nepal.
Meteorologist Govinda Jha reported that the weather conditions across the country are characterized by partial to general cloudiness, with sporadic light rainfall accompanied by lightning observed in several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as isolated spots in Madhes Province.
Jha mentioned, "There is a likelihood of light rainfall with thunderstorms in selected areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. Additionally, light rainfall is anticipated in one or two areas of the Bagmati province."
Furthermore, light snowfall has been predicted in certain high-hilly areas and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. This weather phenomenon may disrupt normal life, affect the tourism sector, and impact transportation and air services in these regions.
