Deputy PM Mahaseth urges timely completion of projects, threatens contract termination for delays

BANKE: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, has issued a stern directive to authorities, emphasizing the termination of contracts with construction companies failing to meet project deadlines.

Addressing the annual gathering of various offices under his ministry in Nepalgunj, Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth expressed the government's apprehension regarding delays in development projects and emphasized proactive measures to prevent further setbacks.

"Given the government's prioritization of economic development, there is no room for delays in construction projects," Mahaseth asserted, underscoring the imperative for timely completion.

In addition, Mahaseth urged employees to execute their duties with unwavering commitment, highlighting the significance of collective efforts in achieving developmental goals.

The event saw the participation of heads of various projects and offices under the ministry from Pyuthan, Dang, Banke, Karnali of Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Province.

Deputy PM Mahaseth's directive underscores the government's resolve to ensure accountability and efficiency in project execution, signaling a concerted effort to expedite infrastructure development across the nation.
