Loktantrik Samajbadi Party to oppose PM Dahal in confidence vote, support NC candidate for NA Chair

KATHMANDU: The Loktantrik Samajbadi Party has announced its decision to vote against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the forthcoming confidence vote scheduled for Wednesday.

The decision emerged from a recent parliamentary party meeting, where the party resolved to assume the role of the opposition within the parliament.

Additionally, the party has declared its support for Yubraj Sharma, the candidate nominated by the Nepali Congress, in the election for the National Assembly chairman.

Nepali Congress has put forward Yubraj Sharma as its candidate for the position of National Assembly Chair.

With representation of one lawmaker in the National Assembly and four in the House of Representatives (HoR), the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party's stance holds significant influence in the upcoming parliamentary proceedings.
