Western low pressure system brings rain and snowfall to Nepal, weather varied across regions
KATHMANDU: Nepal is experiencing the influence of a western low-pressure system, resulting in partial weather disturbances across the region.
As reported by the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, various provinces are experiencing different weather patterns.
Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces are expected to have generally cloudy conditions, while the hilly regions of Bagmati and Koshi provinces may experience partly cloudy skies.
During the afternoon, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in some areas of the hilly regions, specifically Sudurpashchim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces.
Additionally, light snowfall is forecasted in a few locations of the high hilly and mountainous areas within Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as in some other high hilly regions.
As the day progresses into the night, the hilly regions will continue to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country is expected to have mainly fair weather. Light rain may persist in some high hilly and mountainous areas during the night.
