Meteorological Division forecasts gradual weather improvement

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued an update indicating a gradual improvement in weather conditions.

Sporadic rainfall is expected in certain areas, with cloudy weather prevailing in various parts of the country today due to the partial influence of the westerly low-pressure system, commonly referred to as the western disturbance.

Presently, the hilly regions, including the Koshi Province, are experiencing cloudy weather.

However, clearer skies are anticipated from Saturday onwards.

In Kathmandu Valley, the weather has cleared up since early morning today, following light rain on Thursday evening.

According to the Division's forecast, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudur Pashchim provinces, and mainly fair in the rest of the country.

Additionally, there's a possibility of light rain in isolated areas of the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Moreover, there are predictions of light snowfall in a few places across the high hilly and mountainous regions for today.
