Indian SIM cards now accessible to Nepali nationals
KATHMANDU: Breaking barriers, Nepali citizens are now eligible to obtain Indian SIM cards, revealed Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Nepal's Ambassador to India.
This significant development follows the Indian government's endorsement, prompted by the persistent efforts of the Nepal Embassy.
Acceptable credentials for SIM acquisition include passport, citizenship certificate, voter's ID, or embassy-issued identification.
This policy shift liberates Nepali nationals from prior constraints, allowing them to utilize SIM cards tailored to their needs, instead of relying on those tied to Indian citizens.
