SEE to proceed as planned: NEB Chairman affirms early Chaitra start

KATHMANDU: Dismissing rumors of a delay, the National Examination Board (NEB) has officially announced that the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) will commence in the first week of Chaitra.

NEB Chairman Mahashram Sharma, addressing an event organized by the Education Journalist Network Nepal (EJON), assured that the examination routine would be made public by the initial days of Magh.

Chairman Sharma clarified the division of responsibilities, stating that the NEB would handle question paper creation and certificate-related tasks, while the provincial government would oversee exam logistics.

In line with the updated curriculum, students must secure a minimum of 35 points in each subject to pass.

This year, a total of 489,444 students have enrolled, with 246,004 males and 243,440 females.
