Widespread fog disrupts internal flights across Nepal

KATHMANDU: Dense fog is causing significant disruptions to most internal flights across the country today.

Flights to Pokhara, Bharatpur, Biratnagar, Janakpur, and Simara are experiencing delays due to the foggy weather, as reported by the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Subhash Jha, the spokesperson at TIA, informed Ratopati that the airport successfully conducted flights to Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Lukla, and Phaplu as of 10 am today. However, all internal flights in the Tarai and Hilly regions, excluding Kathmandu, are severely impacted by fog, according to Jha.

Fortunately, operations in Kathmandu remain unaffected by the dense fog, providing a relief for travelers flying to and from the capital.
