Ncell dispute: High-level investigation committee demands full details from NTA
KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The high-level committee formed by the Government of Nepal for an investigation on the buying and selling of shares of Ncell, has demanded all the documents and the full details from various bodies.
Details from the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), the Office of the Company Registrar, the Ministry of Communications, the Department of Industry, and the Ministry of Industry, have been demanded. A member of the investigation committee told Ratopati that necessary details have also been ordered from the Nepal Rastra Bank, the Inland Revenue Department, as well as the Taxpayer Office.
As the first phase of the investigation, the committee is currently studying the details received from the different bodies.
The Finance Committee and the Public Account Committee, earlier, instructed to postpone the buying and selling of shares of Ncell. The high-level committee has been given a month to submit the report after an investigation into Ncell share trades.
