Order in Fake Bhutanese Refugee Case, Defendants to remain in prison decided
LALITPUR, Dec 1: The High Court Patan has given an order in the Fake Bhutanese Refugee Case.
Out of the 21 defendants who are accused of fraud, forgery of government documents, crime against nationality, organized crime, and integrated crime, 9 defendants will remain former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, who was demanded Rs. 3 million bond, will not be released immediately. After the opinions of the two Judges conflicted, the third Judge will give an order on whether to release him on bond or not.
However, former Deputy Prime Minister and the suspended UML Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, Dr. Indrajeet Rai, Keshav Prasad Dulal, Sanu Bhandari, Sagar Rai, Govinda Kumar Chaudhary, Sandesh Sharma and Angtawa Sherpa will remain in prison.
Demanding bond and release on a general date have been ordered for other defendants.
